Learning : Oracle Fusion ERP Deployement Methods


Oracle Fusion Applications supports the below delivery models : 


On Premises :

·         Oracle Fusion Application software is deployed on the companies local physical servers and companies.

·         Complete hardware server domain has to be created. The application is accessed through Intranet for Internet Users.

·         Yearly application Licensing and Support Fees is charged based on the number of users and organization size.

·         Uses shared storage. Oracle HTTP server acts as the load balancer. The data is stored in Physical server.

·         Ownership/Leases and maintenance of the infrastructure will be with the Client
 Cloud :

·         Oracle Fusion Application software is hosted on virtual servers provided by the vendor

·         Provides Web-logic server domain and can be access through internet web browser . No need to install additional Java plug-ins

·         Monthly or annually subscription fees will be charges, with additional recurring fees for support, training and updates

·         Shared storage is not available. Oracle Built-in Traffic Directory provides load balancing. The data is stored on the internet through cloud computing technique

·         Vendor or third party will own and maintain the infrastructure
